In this workshop we'll learn additional stitches used in Hungarian written embroidery to widen our stitch vocabulary and create more elaborate designs. We'll begin with a review of the foundation stitch from the Level I class. We'll cover several stitches to embellish the floral patterns, look at decorative shapes that stem from Baroque and Islamic art, and consider different ways of finishing a piece, including different edging techniques.
Needle Lace beautifully decorates the edges of pillows and tables throughout Transylvania. Learning these edging techniques will add beauty and finish to all of your personal projects
Ideal for students who have taken Level I or advanced embroiderers.
